The hardest environment we work in. Here's what actually survives it.
Everything that damages concrete happens on a driveway at once.
No cover, no shade, maximum exposure.
Tires arrive off a scorching road and sit parked in the sun for hours.
Wheels turning in place grind against the surface in a way nothing else does.
Clay soil underneath, weather on top.
Right where the car sits, every day.
Plenty of contractors will coat any driveway you'll pay them to coat. We won't — because on a driveway a film-forming coating is fighting UV, heat, and turning loads simultaneously, and on a slab in poor condition it's going to lose.
Sometimes the honest answer is stain and seal instead of coat. Sometimes it's repair and seal, with no color at all. Occasionally it's that your driveway needs concrete work before it needs a finish. We'd rather say that at the walkthrough than warranty something we know is going to fail.
Diamond grinding or shot blasting for profile. Crack and joint repair as line items. UV-stable materials sized to the exposure. Control and expansion joints honored rather than coated over, so the slab can move where it's designed to move.

Concrete Stain — The color is in the slab, not on it — so UV can't fade it and there's no film to peel or lift under hot tires. It handles the slab movement a driveway sees. Refresh the sealer periodically and the color stays.
Flake Epoxy — With a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, where you want a uniform finished look and the slab is in good shape. It's a bigger investment on a driveway and we'll be straight with you about that.
Metallic Epoxy — on a driveway. Direct sun destroys the clear coat that makes the effect work.
Depends on the cracks. Hairline is normal and manageable. Structural cracking, heaving, or significant spalling should be addressed as concrete work first. We'll tell you which you have.
Typically 48 to 72 hours for vehicles, longer in cold weather. Exact times at walkoff.
Stain won't — the color is mineral and UV-stable. The sealer over it is the wear layer and gets refreshed periodically, which is far cheaper than recoating.
We'll tell you whether a finish makes sense on your slab — including when the answer is no.
